Midori @ Cineleisure Damansara.

Thanks to wmw's desserts galore post that made me drooling profusingly over her sinful dessert pix and dreaming for the luscious green tea ice cream for the past whole week. I decided not to suffer alone and sent all the pix to char siew bao who then develop the same symptoms too :p

Finally we managed to brave the traffic and made our way to Midori located @ Cineleisure (near the Curve & IKEA) last Friday right after work.

Ambiance-wise, the pinkish interior is pleasant and inviting, with some cute kid size stools placed outside the shoplot. What drove me crazy was its dessert menu that features wide array of Japanese green tea desserts. You can also opt for other innovative flavour like dragon fruit ice cream.

Wanted to try the Green Tea Sundae recommended by wmw by it is darn expensive, priced at RM17.90 for one tiny bowl. Nevermind, we settled for these two cheaper selection, yummy nevertheless and are still craving for more!
Char Siew Bao had the Zenzai Green Tea Ice Cream with Dumplings and Red Bean Paste (Rm9.90). The Dumplings were chewy and went well with the sweetish red bean paste. Too bad we found that the green tea ice cream tasted abit weird, maybe we are not used to authentic homemade green tea ice cream.
Me the greedy dessert fanatic went for one big bowl of Kakigori with Green Tea Sauce, Red Bean Paste and Milk (Rm9.90). This has to be my fave dessert of the month. The concoction of shaved ice, green tea sauce, red bean paste and milk has my vote. Very refreshing and bud tantalising.
Will definitely go back for more green tea desserts, but do note that the food served is rather disappointing. That nite char siew bao ordered one curry chicken bento (Rm10.90) which looked sad. I did snap the pix of the bento but decided not to spoil your appetite by posting it.
