Edo Jo @ Desa Sri Hartamas.

We always wanted to try this unique-looking Japanese restaurant located at Desa Sri Hartamas.

This restaurant looks cool!

Yeah...must be heart achingly expensive. We will wait till the next payday.

Aren't we supposed to try this Japanese restaurant out?

Yeah...but pocket quite burnt this month...maybe we will wait till the next payday.

So the same convo went on and on till last month, we finally made our way there! And as expected, the food comes with hefty price tag :I

The ambiance is cosy and decent, with an impressive collection of Japanese rice wine. The menu offers a wide variety of contemporary and authentic Japanese food, but too bad they don't have my fave white tuna sashimi :I

I had their braised fish and radish set (RM 30) that came with rice, main dish, salad, miso soup, pickles and fruits. Nothing much to complain here.

Salad

Braised radish and fish

We also had Katsu Curry which was priced at RM32, 2 bucks extra when compared to my set meal. Fair enough, the gravy was very aromatic and flavourful but we still think that it is overpriced though.

The forever bland Yu Tofu (RM 12) which I added half a bottle of chilli flakes into it.

And my favourite gyoza (RM10) which was very nicely pan fried with juicy meat fillings.

Somehow this is just one usual Japanese restaurant no different from the others, some of their items are fairly overpriced but the taste was just mediocare. Till today, I'm still on the look for Japanese food that can sweep me off my feet. Few days ago I went to Iketeru with my colleague for dinner, hoping to get my hankering for fine Japanese food fixed but it was a rather disappointing experience. Guess it is time for me to lower down my expectation.

Ooo...katsu curry! Is it chicken or beef? Cause I've been to quite some restaurants and most of their curry were cooked with beef.

And..me love gyoza too!!! :)

Hmmm..tempura n the teppanyaki set are good stuff huh? Yar, iketeru's pricing is so unbearable, too bad the standard of the food doesnt match the hefty price tag...sad :(

Cookies_cream:

japanese food that can sweep you off your feet?i can name a few that swept mine..

first if you dont mind paying alot you can always go to starhill's gonbei right opposite the over-rated jogoya which is nothing compared to gonbei..

next if you want authentic japanese food then you have a few options along jalan bukit bintang..there is one that i particularly like on the same row as McD on the second floor named tokutoku..
