Cava @ Jalan Bangkung, Bangsar.

I never knew bout this Jalan Bangkung place in Bangsar that is full of great eateries worth exploring till I joined my new company 3 months ago and made new lunch kakis, led by my boss who has great passion for good food and desserts.

On mundane Monday, my boss again brought us out for lunch at Jalan Bangkung and this time round we tried Cava, a rather high-end western eatery. I was so tempted to snap pictures of the restaurant setting and food, struggled for a while and I braved myself to flash out my camera in front of my boss and a bunch of senior lawyers.

So what are you doing this for?

Err...for my interest...

So you own a blog huh?

*Stunned!*

Yeah, no wonder she is my boss.

Okay, back to food. The menu is kinda impressive but comes with hefty price tag as well. I felt like ordering the paella (RM25 for small serving) but decided to go for the value RM25 set lunch instead that comes with a main course, dessert and drinks.

Complimentary toasted sliced baguette with a dollop of minced olives.

Make your pick from the wide selection of main course, from pasta, fish and chips, grilled fish to chicken. Too bad they don't offer paella as part of the set lunch promotion, I'll definitely try it on my next visit.

I chose to have their Spaghetti Marinara that surprisingly came in white instead of the usual tomato-based sauce.

A glass of Virgin Mojito, fizzy and abit sourish with a hint of mint.

Finally, the dessert of the day, guess it is strawberry and apple pudding, a very interesting concoction...

...but I still prefer my boss' chocolate dream...

Ahhh...one piece of heavenly good molten chocolate cake, highly recommended for dessert lover, I swear!

Check out Cava's official website here.

On our way back to the office...

XXX, next round we shall go Passage to India, an indian eatery, so that you can do your food review.

:D
