Floggers Potluck with Sid n' Sunny

Hiya!

I know that I have been disappearing from the blogsphere for quite some time. The reason? Refer to my last post...

Anyway, I was lucky enough to attend two makan sessions with all the makan kakis (a.k.a gluttons) at Red Ginger , thanks to the owner who treated us with scrumptious food sampling and not to forget last saturday potluck with some of the floggers, thanks to Sidney and Sunny who hosted the event at their new posh apartment.

Gosh, I was so delighted to be invited to the potluck party, esp hosted by Sunny who bakes real good cakes and make sinfully delicious desserts. Do drop by their blog to feast your eyes with more luscious desserts and novelty cakes.

Colourful macaroons. From strawberry, green tea, chocolate to vanilla...make your pick!
Guess what... These cakes were actually made of cempedak which ignited my interest the most. Creme de la Creme!

Oh my! Dearest tiramisu. How could I miss that right?

Wait...wait....the long awaited D24 durian cakes! *Walloped another piece*

Aiks, Sunny made 3 novelty cakes as well, so cutie looking! Yes I know, I was stupid enough to ask Sunny if I could wallop them. FYI, they are made of sugary coating and are not edible.

Enough of the mains, ooppss I mean dessert, take a look at what the bunch of floggers brought for the party...

Pasta by teckiee which was loaded with sausages, capsicums and tomatoes. Perfecto!
Jackson Abdullah featured his mum's cooking--Tao Foo Pok stuffed with mushrooms and minced chicken. He is one lucky man to have such a capable good cook at home.
The famous Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun filled with turnips, shallots and dried shrimps co-presented by jason ipoh mali and wmw. The makan group happily cleaned up 3 boxes of them.

Thanks to Sidney who cooked up a bowl of yummylicious green curry chicken.

This time round, instead of bringing fruit juice, we were lucky enough to savour tummythoz's cooking--Claypot chicken rice with chinese mushrooms.

Cutie from foodelicious brought us err...egg stuffed with goodies? I'm still waiting for your desserts!

I'm sorry citygal for the blurry pix, your deep fried popiahs were so delicious that I was too busy savouring them.

Pastas bought by fezzaboy from an italian restaurant.

Lastly, what I have contributed to the party....

Ju Hu Char made of yambean, carrot and dried squid. Thanks to the great cook of my family--wasabi who was kind enough to save me from cooking some other horrible stuffs.

Have it with her homemade speciality that she can't survive another day without it--sambal made with heaps of bird eye chillies. Apologies for those who took one big scoop of the chillies in the absence of prior warning.

Before leaving, I took a peep at Sunny's kitchen....

Look as if he is an alcoholic...LOL...just kidding, these liquors are used for making desserts.

Thats all for the lovely Saturday night though I have been working for the whole day from 7am to 7pm before joining the crowd, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Thanks to the hosts...

Mr. Sidney

and Mr. Sunny who made us heaven sent desserts...

P/S: Can we have more durian cakes?

Definitely the Chee Cheong Fun is not ORIGINAL from Teluk Intan. The real Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun do not have shrimp~! :) Check out the original food and you'll know the differences.
