This is the famous Portuguese Egg Tarts, costs about $6 per piece, quite expensive but is really yummy and aromatic! The crust is flaky and the egg is soft and delectable.
Another scrumptious treat, lou por peng, flaky crust wiv sweet winter melon fillings. But I still prefer the one from Kong Kee @Yuen Long, Hong Kong.

wmw: yup! according to my mum, eating in macau is terribly expensive :) Anyway, the tarts were juz too yummy!
xiu long bao,
RM6 for a Portuguese Egg Tart is way too expensive lah. Maybe you can learn and bake those egg tarts and sell them back to the bakery for RM1 per piece. haha!:P
Wah... Macau's food so pricey??
the tarts looks yummy..but ya, RM6 is a tad ex wor. miss eating lou por peng frm HK, yumz! Hav u tried the not so famous lou kong peng? I didnt like it though..
kok: The egg tarts though expensive tasted sooo different, absolutely delicious! Dun think i can make it la...hehe
jason: yalor, standard of living too high mah. Like in hong kong, a bowl of wantan mee oso costs $20.
sc: haha, i noe the lou kong peng! my mum didn't buy it, she told me it is a salty version one.
i like da "loupohpeng"! looks yummy with lotsa filling in it!
meiyen: i like the filling which is not so sweet :) I think some chinese pastry stalls in msia sell gud lou por peng too.
Macau food definately pricier if compared to Malaysian food, but i find much cheaper than Hong Kong. And quality and quantity also much better than ours. Anyway...the egg tarts...ooo...heavenly good. My hubby doesn't like sweet stuffs and were asleep when i took a first bite. Forced him to try and he jumped up from the bed for more tarts. Next day he ended up buying 8 pieces.
precious pea: wahaha...ur hubby so funny ah. I only managed to try one! Muz go macau one day n get more tarts!
The best I was told is at Coloane Village called Lord Stow, the first bakery offering the tarts. Really good I must say...if interested, check out my post on Macau trip. Link is at the right side of my blog.
precious pea: hei thanks for the info. Muz try their sinfully gud tarts when i get there...someday :)
Yeah, my friend say that their food quality is much much more better
jason: According to my mum, only the tarts are nice in macau, other than dat should go 2 hong kong.
I try these egg tarts once but forgot how it taste like now...hehe
halo kay,
of cus they r tasty la ;p
the portuguese egg tart should be MOP6 not RM6 each.
Macau food is tasty becos they have the heart to cook, esp those old eaties. not like HK put lots of MSG instead.
Macau is lovely in many ways.
